The villa has been built by Taylor Woodrow and was made available to us in May 2004.

It would be very much appreciated while you are here to adhere to a few “house rules”:
• Leave the villa as you find it
• No smoking in the villa
• Respect your neighbours
• Do not drape towels over the balcony
• Sign the visitors book – any comments welcome
• Use chopping boards – not worktops! etc
This semi detached villa with shared pool and glorious sea views is furnished to a high class standard of which we are sure you will appreciate.

WHERE WE ARE
Cala Magrana is situated in Serra de Ilerant on the North East coast. The nearest town is Porto Cristo famous for the Caves of Drac!
Porto Cristo is approximately 2 miles from the villa and you will find various restaurants, beaches and it’s own marina offering a variety of entertainment together with 3 supermarkets situated at the top of town close to the Petrol Station.
A short stroll from the villa there are 3 beautiful cala’s (coves) – Anguilla, Mandia and Romantica. There are numerous restaurants close by. Also shops, banks and a pharmacy can be found near by.THINGS TO DO AND SEE
PALMA
See Palma on the open top bus that goes all around the city.
The Gothic Cathedral and impressive Castle of Bellver.
Shopping – plenty of designer shops.
Train to Soller – for stunning views. On the hour from Palma, on the ½ hour from Soller.
PORTALS NOUS
To stroll along the marina. A good chance of seeing famous people. The Capaccino Café is renowned for spotting celebrities.
Tiffany – Restaurant and Bistro.
The Regatta is held at the end of July and the King and Queen of Spain race in the annual Breitting Regatta.

MANACOR
Famous for pearls and visit the pearl factory.
INCA
Leather and shoe centre.
PORT DE POLLENCA
Beautiful fishing harbour and walk along the pine trees to the end of the bay. There is a lovely hotel where you can watch the sunset while you drink your G & T
VALLDEMOSSA
Colourful mountain village with the Carthusian Monastry.
The Costa Nord Centre created by Michael Douglas who has a house here with Catherine Zeta Jones.
PORTO CRISTO
Caves del Drac – largest underground lakes with a performance or ‘Lake Montel Concert’. Glass bottomed boat trips.
ESPORLES LE GRANJA
There is a magnificent tenth century country mansion and the country house of Els Calderers is well worth a visit.
MAGALUF
Aqualand – a water park.
Boat trips on a triple-deck catamaran for 2 hours with time to explore the south west coastline, or the island, and swim! Also underwater view of the sea. Daily departure Magaluf beach Palma Nova.
GOLF / TENNIS / SAILING / LEISURE
Cala Magrana is approximately 20km away from 5 golf courses; 4 of which are 18 hole, and 10km from the Vall d’Or Golf Club. All come highly recommended by me (a 9 handicap bandit)!

The Portocristo Novo Tennis Club is only a few minutes walk away with the Portocristo Marina only 3 km away which offers a full marina for leisure, sailing and water activities.
This area of coastline stretches approximately 27 kilometres and includes the famous Caves of Drac. Majorca enjoys approximately 300 days of sunshine a year which consequently offers secluded sandy beaches, green warm Mediterranean sea, spectacular mountain ranges and beautiful flower filled villages.
MARKETS
Held between 8.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. If you only plan to do one then Sineu is the one we would recommend. Get there early before the coaches arrive with the masse.

8 – 10 Moros I Cristians - Battles between Christians and infidels.
28 – 29 Processions of fishing boats in Palma, Pont d’Andrat and Pont d’Aludia
in honour of the Patron Saint of Fishermen.
JULY
2nd Week Porto Cristo Fiesta – food tasting, evening markets, bands, processions
of boats in the islands ports.
AUGUST
24 Montuiri – one of Mallorcas eldest festivals.
28 Sont Aigisti – Cavallets dances in felanitx – children dress up and ride cardboard horses
being chased by giants and accompaniment of bagpipes, flutes and drums follow.
SEPTEMBER
2nd Sunday Harvest festivals including a melon festival in Vilafranca de Bonont.
Last Sunday Wine fair in Binissalem.
OCTOBER
3rd Sunday Festival in Sant Joan.
DECEMBER
31 Fiesta de L’Estandard – Palma commemorates the anniversary of the
Christian Conquests with a procession from the town hall to mass at the cathedral.
